Gambling nowadays is highly associated with pool games and has negative effects with the said sport because it limits the audience and turns off potential sponsors. As presented mostly in the movies and television programs, most bad people could be found playing pools, saying nasty words and even end up creating a commotion. Why can we do something about it in the real world? Aside from that, gambling undermines pool’s great tournaments and limits sponsor money because of much controversy and risks. Gambling by top players also encourages others especially fans to do the same and even beyond their limits like hustling, sandbagging and crimes. This kind of illegal action also promotes cheating that degenerate character of the player because of fast bucks. Of course, in case of emergencies people are highly tempted with high generating sports even if it means doing some dirty jobs. Maybe the answer to this query is to set a good example in ourselves as well as those famous personalities that can possibly influence the most of the people. Let’s hope that next time we can watch movies where billiards means sportsmanship, honesty and good character.
