It was Trey Jankowski who brought home the gold after the May 29 stop at the Lucasi Hybrid All-American Tour. The Memorial Weekend Bar Box Bash displayed a 30-player field with a double elimination 8-ball format which races to 3 and Masters going to 4.

Sancouci Wins The Predator Title
It was George Sansouci and Raphael DaBreo who grabbed the top finishes from the Ozone Billiards Predator 9-Ball Tour last May 29-30. It was a $1,000 added event which encouraged a crew of almost 64 players to Master Billiard in New York.
In the pro 1-ball division, Sansouci was already defining a point as he defeated Carl Yusef Khan with an 8-2. Bonilla also displayed some power during the event when he defeated Tony Robles at 8-6 before he lost to Ginky. After that defeat, Bonilla bested on Shaun Wilkie with 8-6 and Robles 8-4, before the elimination of Hernandez during the semifinals with an 8-2.
Bonilla may not have really threatened Sansouci on the bracket list of the winners, but he really came back head on with a vengeance when the finals came. Despite best efforts, Sansouci still won the hill-hill game to put a close to the event with unceasing victory.

Karl Boyes Triumphs Over World 8-Ball
It was clearly 3 years ago when Karl Boyes was just a regular semifinalist at the World Pool Championships. That competition was won by fellow countryman Daryl Peach. From that point in time, Boyes together with his fellow Brit cueists started bearing faith that they can truly shine in the international scene.
It was Darren Appleton who first won the World 10-Ball Championship two years ago followed by the UK team winning the World Team Championships just early this year. Add to this is Boyes’ recent winning over Dutch star Niels Feijen. This was Feijen’s comeback to claim the title in a hill-hill final of 13-12.
During the early part of the game, it was clear that Boyes was totally in control but Feijen was still able to crawl back into the game, breaking racks all over to reach 11-9. But it was Boyes’ ability to keep his nerves in check that made him win the title.

Blast Billiards
While researching for a good topic for our article today, I came across a fun new game in the internet. I do not know if you have heard about the game Blast Billiards but I personally like this one. Aside for the typical rules that revolve on billiards, this particular game will bring your surprises with innovative ideas. Good thing that what you have in this game will only be available through the computer because the pool table will surely be ruined with its scary explosions. Yes, you read it right. A creative way to be addicted to s series of pool games includes the use of bombs, timers and tricks to give you the feeling of thrill and rush. The series named as the Trick Blast and Extreme Blast will make you fall for some kind of magic until you get hooked. However, I must warn you that you are limited to one basic stroke meaning, without draw, follow or english. So how does it work? Using your cue ball, you need to shoot the target balls into the pockets against a timer and without setting the explosion on. Get the free series and tell me what you think of this one.

History of Pool Cue Abuse
Not just people and other living things can be abused. If you look into the history of some famous sports you can encounter drastic acts done on some precious game equipment. Take the pool cue as an example. During the Mosconi Cup, a pool cue was smashed either due to frustration, innate bad behavior or burst of emotions by Earl Strickland. This happened just recently but not that unique at all. A similar incident happened in 1945 where famous Ralph Greenleaf broke his pool cue during a match-up with Mosconi. It was also Greenleaf’s last world championship challenge of Mosconi. Some also made the pool cue like a spear during a tournament. If there is anything good with what happened is that most people went curious over the game and watched the game over and over again. The Strickland incident was viewed for about 200,000 times through the internet. What is your opinion about this?

The Origin Of Billiards
American pocket billiards or pool started in 1800s but became more popular in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. Most historians claimed that the present billiard game descended from the English interest on lawn bowling with its modifications of equipments and rules because of certain limitations such as the weather. It is known that for certain times of the year, the British Isles is irresistibly cold and thus not allowing any recreational activity outdoors. Just so that games were not cancelled, these were put indoors but still restricted in space. Rules were changed by hitting the ball with a wood and not rolling it that was further refined with archways and rings which are needed to be hit and even being stroked. Lastly, a proposal to have a playing field on a table was made and gave birth to billiards.
