Turkey won the 2010 World Three Cushion Championship
Here’s news for you. For the third time, Turkey team won the World Team Three Cushion Championship that was held at Festhalle Viersen in Viersen, Germany last February. With Adnan Yüksel and Murat Naci Coklu, Turkey won the finals with the 2-0 score over Daniel Sánchez and Ruben Legazpi of Spain. Of all 21 competing countries, two teams tied for the third place which is the Netherlands and South Korea. For the record, Turkey already won the 2003 and 2004 title while the five-time defending champion Sweden lost to Spain in the quarterfinals. The team that got the highest general average of 1.82 is Netherlands. For the players, it is Dick Jaspers of the Netherlands team that got the highest general average of 2.253 while Yüksel had a 2.812 to top the single game averages as well as Colombia’s Carlos Campino had the highest run with 15.
